Vanessa Van Overmeer Figure Competitor and Fitness Model

"I have been involved in many sports since a young age including: water polo, cross-country, swim, Track, Softball and dance. But back in 2003-2004 I decided to challenge myself further and compete in figure. This taught me the discipline of not only training but diet as well and how the two go hand in hand. It was soon after my first show that I changed my major at San Diego State University from business to Kinesiology. I continued to compete into 2007 in such shows as Emerald Cup and Ironman NPC figure. Now I have been focusing on many fitness related ventures. As far as competing in the future, I am trying to focus more on fitness modeling because I have always loved the creativity involved in photo shoots. I also like representing a more feminine and natural look. Currently, I am focusing on my client's fitness success and positive lifestyle changes.If I can inspire one person to live a happier and healthier lifestyle then I feel I have succeeded."
